Wot I dun in me holidays, or a visit to MOTAT

Well, what I did one day at least. MOTAT is a disgracefully underfunded restoration and storage area where old aircraft that happen to be lying around go to retire. I would call it a museum except a museum requires some sort of display area and as you can see the poor people are desperately short of display and storage area.
Two apologies: as I was on a 5 minute stop on a tram whilst escorting the two wee buggers to the zoo I literally had to run through the place: her indoors had the camera with her at the shops, so all I had was my cell phone: the lack of room in which to take photos wasn't my fault, I even left them a small sum to assist in making it larger.

As to what they all are, well, your guess is as good as mine

Ask Glyn or one of those aeronautical types, they'll know.

I agree with you about MoTAT. If the buildings were twice their present size the contents would still be crowded. Some of the exhibits were looking rather sad when I saw them 2 years ago. At least the fibreglass replica Hurricane is still at the entrance.

The Mosquito is a new addition. Why on earth did they put a wooden aircraft on outdoor display?

No idea, I can only hope they're going to come by some funds and will soon be housing it properly. More than that though, where the hell did they get it? There can't be more than a handful left, perhaps a replica?

Dunno. I'll ask in another forum.
