The old Lahore
Lemontree, here's the renovation I was talking about in the old Lahore...
Hand an awesome time, with Seekh Kababs, Tikkay, Poori, Naan, Gawalmandi! A desi version of a Pizza I think ![]() An old Gali (street), still awaiting renovation ![]() Areas prepped to be converted into thabas I think. ![]() Entrance to Gawalmandi ![]() Green Tea or Kashmiri Chai ![]() Just to prove how old this street is, its still got some Hindi from the pre-partition days, I think VidyaNivas means school ![]() Kata Kut! ![]() Paa ji aapki smartness ka kya raaz hai ![]() Paan ke Pattay ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Excellent - I love those older buildings, in Karachi, some of them seem like archeological artefacts, because one can date the styles and new construction added to the old.
Mr. Aqil, did you do any adhoc interviews, man on the street, type stuff which you could also post - I think it would a interesting litte picture of the neighborhoods, a small window... Anyway, keep up the good work.

It is a fascinating place. I saw old victorian houses......from the british era......i was there buying an electricity generator, was in this big bazaar that sold only them.......walked into a side alley to by a pepsi......was an old house from the hindu times, stall owwner told me it belogned to a big family, had hindu gods carved into it etc..... absolutely incredible. |
