My Son

My 14 year old son during a resupply stop on a 5 day, 64 mile hike on the Appalachain Trail with our Scout Troop in Central Virginia. This is what we did for Spring Break this year. Easter Sunrise service on the Trail. His mom loves this photo since he is wearing a hat to keep his head warm and he is changing his socks! Yes, that is snow blowing around on the photo.

Civil War Battlefield phots

1st One is of me holding a piece of cannister from a 12 lb Napoleon Cannon. The 43rd New York Volunteers, The Albany Rifles, fought here as part of the 1864 Valley Campaign.

Second photo is of my buddy who came down from Massachusetts for the tour.

Last one is the two of us at the 8th Vermont Monument at Cedar Creek Battlefield.

Prior to his WW II exploits, he competed in the 1936 Olympics. At 92, he's still fit. When I asked him to come out to our jet, I practically had to run to keep up with him. He's a ball of energy, as sharp as a tack and tells great stories. If you get out his way, treat yourself to an introduction.
Great story!

4th of July in Juneau

Hello. Great pics everybody. Here are a few of our 4th of July parade in the great capital city of Juneau, Alaska. My fiance and I got lucky to actually have the holiday off together. That hasn't happened in a long time. To make things even more enjoyable, the weather was decent and the Oatmeal Stout was fresh & cold!!

To all our Vets and especially our military units deployed overseas: Thank you for Service, stay safe, and come home soon.

Thanks, although Mother Nature had the biggest hand in them...I just took them!

I love the palm trees too. Just not the intense heat!

Duck Feeding

EJ, Ashley and I went to the "lake" behind EJ's old house to feed the ducks. I've also included a picture of the back of Bluesman's old house. Notice the infamous "hot tub" in the corner of the lanai where the great Tiki Parties took place?

Crepe Myrtle

This is my crepe (crape) myrtle in bloom. It's beautiful when the wind is blowing or it's raining. Looks like little pink snow flakes! But then they discolor my walk way!

Ahhhh the joys of owning a power washer. BTW I'm lusting after your impact resistant windows. We are in the process of getting them installed. No more having to put up shutters this hurrican season.

The windows have definitely held up during the minimum hurricanes we've had so far. The roof is another story!

I don't own a power washer, but two of my neighbors do! I own the power hedge trimmer so we trade off when the need arises!
