These are pictures of our back yard neighbors yard and pool. We have been fighting, as a neighborhood, for them to clean up their yard and pool. They did one time, and kept it clean for about a month, but now we had to go to extreme measures and get the health department involved. The pool is literally black. They have three huge dogs that roam the yard and who knows what they do in the pool!
And the last time the yard was like this, it took about 4 hours or more for them to mow it! There are actually rodents in their back yard that have gotten into other neighbors yards. Our neighborhood has "rules" about how your yard should look, but I guess they figure since its in the back, no one will see it. Except us. We have a two story house and the back bedrooms overlook it. And forget opening windows on a nice breezy day. They don't clean up after their three dogs! ![]() |

Glaciers and Beer
After training for a few hours hiking the trails near the Mendenhall Glacier, I decided it was time for a Cold One. Come to Juneau and have an Alaskan - it's our locally brewed beer. Today's refreshment is an IPA, though I usually prefer Oatmeal Stout.
