All I have is one of me in front of Stone Mountain. Nice place though. And what materials are your mountains normally made of? ![]()

Thunder Storm
Got a storm a-brewing. I love it when the sky gets dark and then lights up from the lightening. Unfortunately I couldn't get a picture of lightening.

Lucky Lou
I had the honor of meeting Lou Zamperini last week when I flew into Zamperini Field in Torrance, CA. The airfield is named after him. (He was declared dead in WW II and thus the field was named in his honor). After learning about Lou's amazing life, I've ordered his book, "Devil At My Heels."
Check out his amazing story: America in WWII magazine: Louis Zamperini, Olympics, Matsuhiro Watanabe, Ofuna, POW Prior to his WW II exploits, he competed in the 1936 Olympics. At 92, he's still fit. When I asked him to come out to our jet, I practically had to run to keep up with him. He's a ball of energy, as sharp as a tack and tells great stories. If you get out his way, treat yourself to an introduction. Last edited by GAU-8 : 07-07-2008 at 12:48 PM. |

How very fortunate you got to meet him! IMO it is one of the greatest privledges to get to talk to our old war vets. There is a lot we can learn from them, lest we forget.

My Dad's headstone in Milton, MA, the morning after the Red Sox won the World Series in 2004. He lived his entire life a die hard sox fan and never saw them win. My brother took this photo also. He climbed the fence to get into the cemetary before it opened to put the pennant at the grave. As he drove by the cemetary on the way home that evening he said there were dozens of other pennants added that day!
