USS Pigeon (ASR-21) waiting for cutting torch in Suisun Bay, California. With her sister and and both DSRV's they supported we no longer have a deep sea rescue system for submariners if a sub goes down but still above crush depth. An automated, unmanned system, is being planned but it's still on the drawing boards.

Pigeon Point is one of my favorites. I had a girlfriend who worked there for while. When she transferred to the Pinnacles, I started hanging out at Jardines in San Juan Bautista.
