Debbie, come on down, have we got a deal for you?

Now, Debbie, I want you to guess the price of the winter fuel bill in Melbourne Australia; is it $358.00 or $76.00 *psst, try $76.00*

$76.00 Dollars thanks.

Ding, Ding, Ding

You're a winner, that's right, $76.00 is all you pay for a whole winters fuel bill for the home, you'll be snug as a bug in a rug down there.

Come on down.

$358 covers about 2 months heating bill here even with the wood burner...

Now, if there was a well paying job behind door number 1, a place to live behind door number 2, and a vehicle to drive behind door number 3......

Muahahahaha! Beautiful floods and perfect droughts. The most venomous species of wildlfe anywhere. Most of the country would be called 'Badlands' anywhere else. Still there are a few nice places.

I mean, yeah, it gets cold here in winter, it snows here maybe once every ten years, if you want to see snow, you drive to it. We don't have to put all our farm animals inside for months on end, they still live in the paddocks. We can still walk around in shorts and t shirt most of the time, we can even have a garden here in winter.

Most people don´t look that great in shorts and T-shirts

If we want to see ice, we open the freezer. I suppose we miss out on snow ball fights, making snomen, and Ice Hockey, but we do have Aussie Rules Footy and meat pies.

If I want to remember what horror 30+ C is , I just have to open an oven .

We don't have to have a wardrobe of bulky clothes, driving to the shops is not a life or death expedition, we save a fortune on heating bills and we can even go fishing in a boat on the coldest of days with no fear of getting stuck between pack ice.

Okay the heating bills is sound reason but then again how much you spend on air conditioners ? Plus the cold could be used as freezer

Come on down to the land of OZ, beautiful one day, perfect the next.

Freddie
OK , I´m just grumpy because this winter was most pathetic , coldest it got was -12C and barely snow at all .
But I personally cannot tolerate heat well and therefore never understood the appeal of warm places or vacation trip to Caribbean/Aust. etc.

Maxwells burned down last month and the rescue crew salvaged enough to keep it an ice castle. And this is legit cuz I've eaten here, its right outside campus

That is awesome!

We don't see that around here.

Stupid global warming made us suffer through Easter Sunday with 85F temperature.

Heh, my friend visited his then in-laws in Wisconsin during winter and came to this conclusion:

It's so cold outside, I come home and open up the freezer to warm up.

A comedian commented on the concept of founding the city of Chicago:

New Yorkers: We really enjoy the crime and the poverty here, but it's just not cold enough. Let's move west.

You didn't quite understand Freddie, I'm not supposed to be looking for these things they are supposed to be provided behind each appropriate "door." I can't imagine what you would have done if asked for a man behind door number 4.

I thought the panhandle of Florida was the only place that has sand that white.

What beach is that?

That's just a story we invented to keep the Poms away.

Everythings Ok if you run around yelling "Crikey, isn't he a beaut?"

"You've picked door number 4, Do you want to lock it in?

"Yes, lock it in thanks."

"Brave pick, are you sure you want to lock it in?"

Yes thanks, I'm sure, I'm feeling brave today."

*Little does our Deb know that behind door number four is Sir Les Patterson, cultural attaché at large to the world, and spokesman for the Australian Cheese board" *

"You've locked in door 4, we'll go for an add break and be back shortly."
