I don't get that. Why would someone want to stand around letting someone else "paint" them to change them into an Oompa-Loompa shade of orange? A little color I can understand, but it is few and far between that look good with an un-natural orange-ish glow.

I think the whole "airbrushing" thing is done to the photos after the shoot.

A tan can be painted on. One can stand in a tube and have a liquid tan instantly applied now. Now need to wait for the UV lights to take effect anymore. Instant Coffee, Instant Oatmeal, Instant Tan.
