BRAC is out!!!!!!!!!!!!

Heres the main proposed closures for the USN:

"Nine major Navy bases will close, including Submarine Base, New London, Conn.; Willow Grove Naval Air Station, Pa.; Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Maine; Naval Station Ingleside, TX; Naval Station Pascagoula, Miss.; and Naval Air Station Atlanta."

Heres the pdf detailed list:

Other major USN closings: South Naval Facilities Eng. Command, Charleston, SC; Naval Support Activity New Orleans, LA; Naval Support Activity Corona, CA; Naval Supply Corps School Athens, GA.

I know that makes 10. One of them must fail the criteria a a major base closing. I believe it could be SC Facilities Command as it is housed in leased property. Although its job losses meet the criteria.

I should also mention the reduction of the Brunswick(ME) Naval Air Station to a Naval Air Facility. All its aircraft will be relocated.

In terms of job loss it is a major loser with over 2400 personnel cut.
