India definitely has a better surface fleet... the Delhi Class destroyers are one of the best in the world, and their missile corvettes and frigates are also very good.

Where China has the humungous edge, is Nuclear Subs, India does not have one, and China does.

if there is going to be a war between china and india, the navy is'nt going to be the only factor. Yes, India may have a stronger navy but this is not good enough to win a war with china. Think about the army and the airforce and what effect they are going to have on the war, not just the navys. So this is pointless... discussing which navy is better.
