Do you trust Chinese missiles to distinguish between a PLAAF afterburner and a RoCAF afterburner?

a score of nuclear ballistic missile submarines and a host of aircraft carriers
Somebody else already said, but it bears repeating: Anti-Chinese fearmongering.

"A 'host' of aircraft carriers?

How many carriers are in a "host"?

Don't you have to actually build aircraft carriers in the first place?

I mean, really.

Actually you'd have to start building the Carriers first, and we've seen no sign of that. If anything it may be that the CCP doesn't want to escalate existing tensions with the USA given that they seem to be getting everything they want (non-intervention in their affairs, free trade, adequate supplies of resources from Australia, Iran and their various African allies). Surely trying to build a blue-water Surface Fleet with organic air cover would only give the US Military something to sink at their present level of development?

Besides as I understand it the PLA is still miles behind in virtually every field except Field Artillery, would they not have more pressing matters?

As for the talk of an Allied invasion of the Mainland, I think its been discussed here before, with the general consensus that the PLA probably be unable to defeat the invasion but the invaders would probably be unable to pacify the
country and deliver a killer blow. Which is why it would never happen, nukes aside.
