I can beat both of you. One of my former girlfriends cheated on me with a tree... (came home from a girlsnight, was drunk and had to hold on a tree to keep her balance. She then thought the tree was lonly and needed some love and started to hug it...)

You are strange. Even for a German...

I think I like you :D

In short. Girls are strange, especially hippies. How's work coming on those Hippy Hunting Missiles Nixon started work on?

Ask them if they're related to Neville Chamberlain...or just really admire him a lot.

He was a man of honour. A gentleman, and yet he is held up as if he had acted treasonably. Tell me, with the pitiful hand of cards he was dealt at the time, and knowing what he knew, what would you have done differently?

I don't question his honour. I think he was incredibly naive to look at - or ignore - Hitler's past actions and figure "well this ought to satisfy him".

Where would Tina Turner be right now if she'd rolled over and said "Hit me again Ike! And put some STANK on it!

Rolling on a river, that's where she'd be.

You can only roll over so many times.

I came to the conclusion at a very early age that regardless of the consequences, I would only bend just so far.

I realize that Chamberlain had millions of lives at stake not just his own, but surely he saw what kind of men that the leaders of National Socialism were?

Importantly he bought Britain some extra time to re-arm, as the forces were still in a run-down condition. He also was able to express his abhorrance at what was going on to the world at large. I again pose the question, in his shoes and at that time what would you have done?

If my reading has been accurate, HM Government had clear warnings about Hitler's rearmament years before Chamberlain and nothing was done.

(Interesting side note: Germany was rearming long before Hitler came to power)

I'm sorry for the short answer, I'll add more when I get home tonight.
