There are SIX other groups of ships there. I didn't take the time to see if Sacramento class ships were there or not. I'll keep an eye out week after next though as we take the "water taxi" (yard oiler) on out to the Iowa.

Ok, I didn't word it correctly. I agree, there are 7 groups of ships out there, or at least that's shown on Google Earth. The first group to the West has some oilers in and supply ships and the first group to the East looks like all supply ships. Last edited by RAL's_pal? : 09-22-2006 at 19:08 PM. |

cRusty, the Sacramento and Camden are listed in Bremerton's Inactive Facility so you better bring a strong pair of binoculars if you expect to see them from Suisun Bay ![]() |

Oh yeah. When we found some crates that may have held certain items we were searching for, it was the rep from Bremerton who grabbed a fire axe to break open the crates for us. Well, if something was going to get "damaged" it may as well be by them. |

A mix of cargo, amphibs, tankers, CG's, LPH, BB, and other ships. All from the source as noted.

Sleep? Neat, I'll stay off the road Monday. I guess if anyone takes too much medication they could "fly" while driving..... If you did 80-85 mph like most of the drivers around here these days, I doubt you'd fall asleep on the trip. |

Also, my Dakota has better gas mileage at 70 and under. I've got this neat little gizmo above the mirror that tells me what my mileage is. When I went up the I-15 in Utah a few years ago, the speed limit is 75 mph. But my mileage indicator dropped too low so I cut the cruise control down to 69 and saved some money on gas. |
