USS Fargo, flagship of the Mediterranean 5th fleet, 1946.

My grandpa is firing the 5 inch guns. (approx 127mm)

He wears two hearing aids today because of the damage to his ears. Took awhile for the effects to fully kick in.

I like those 6-inch cruisers...that lean slim greyhound look, kinda like a destroyer except for the those beautifully compact 6-inch turrets.
