Reforger units question for OOE.

Sir, do you know what units were slated for Reforger reinforcement of NATO forces in Germany?

Particularly, i am looking for any that were pre-slated for US VII Corps in Germany.

Thanx for your help.

Depends on the timeframe and are you talking about actual war or the annual exercise.

VII Corps is supposed to be brought up to full strength comprising of the following div

1st Infantry Division
2nd Armored Division
3rd Infantry Division (Mechanized)
2nd Armored Cavalry Regiment
4th Canadian Mechanized Brigade Group
VII Corps Artillery

However, these divisions and bdes were not all up to strengths with some (1ST INF) with two bdes in the US. Those were the REFORGER units. At any given exercise, REFORGER never comprised more than two bdes (alot times just battalion size task forces) being flown/shipped from the US.

Of course, actual war is quite different which most likely reflect what happenned in the Kuwait War

1st Cavalry Division
1st Infantry Division (Mechanized)
1st Armored Division
2nd Armored Division (Forward)
3rd Armored Division
1st (UK) Armoured Division
2nd Armored Cavalry Regiment
VII Corps Artillery
8-43 Air Defense
7th Engineer Brigade
11th Aviation Brigade
14th Military Police Brigade
93rd Signal Brigade
207th Military Intelligence Brigade
7th Personnel Group
2nd Chemical Battalion
7th Finance Group
Special Troops Battalion
2nd COSCOM

I know that there were plans (depending on the year) to add the 101st or the 82nd to VII Corps Orbat during crisis. If actual WWIII, I would expect the 1st Canadian Division to be part of VII Corps.

I'm talking about either in time of war, or in a climate of impending war against the old Soviet Union.

Time frame would be the late 80s, pre ODS.

They're two seperate things. Within 10 days, the best that could've been done was to bring all of USAREUR up to full strength.

Within 30, another corps was expected.

I'm on the road again this week. I will respond when I get home where my data is.
