Here are a couple salmon pics, mostly Cohos since these were taken in the fall. Check out the Dungies in the bait tank behind. They look hungry! There is one King Crab in there, but the Dungies ganged up on him and killed him!
Here's a few pics from my fishing adventures. Starting with Alaska and finishing in Costa Rica.
The aluminum landing craft was our day boat, I ran a 40 hook longline, and crab and shrimp pots, and mooched for salmon. We usually took groups of six, and split them between the big boat and the little boat during the day.
These first pics are in Southeast Alaska, mostly around Sitka.

This next set is taken in Mexico- Guadelupe Island, Cabo, and Barra de Navidad. The little boat in cabo was a day charter. The bird is a b.o.o.b.i.e. bird. They were swarming my gear one morning out of Puerto Vallarta, and I finally had to pull the gear in, the damn things wouldn't stay away!

This set is some more Sailfish and a Blue Marlin. These were in Costa Rica, we stayed in Los Suenos for a month. It's a new resort just north of Jaco Beach. The Sailfishing was world class, they averaged about 125 pounds. The Marlin was a little one, about 225lbs.

Here are a few scenic type pics, this set is heading north, the first is Johnstone Strait early in the morning. The second one is Butedale B.C., (a little worse for wear), the third one is Ocean Falls B.C. , and the last one is Sitka.

NEVER FORGET
We had friends in Wrangell who had a contract to deliver Jet Fuel up the Stikine River to a mining camp. The mine used the fuel for their helicopter. Our friend's boat broke down, so we volunteered to haul the fuel for them.
We loaded up 8 drums of Jet A into the landing craft and drove it about 120 miles up the Stikine into Canada. We made 6 trips total over two days.
The first pic is the pick up spot, a place called "Fish Camp". The last pic is the fuel dump. I had to tie up to a tree on the shore and let the current hold the boat on the beach while I offloaded the drums of jet fuel.

Here's a couple pics of Isla Guadelupe, This place is the place to go for Great White sharks. It's about 120 miles off the coast of Baha, just out in the middle of the ocean. The little fish stack up on beach, and the big fish come to eat them, and the sharks come to eat the big fish. Lol. Awesome yellowfin fishing. The big boat was ours, the little one was our friends. Lol, the little one is an 82' Hatteras.

First pic here is Punta Mita, the second one is the hotel and marina at Barra de Navidad. We stayed two months at Barra, it is an incredible place, the hotel has 5 pools, a golf course, two restaurants. There was a water taxi to take us across to the town, which was a fairly typical little Mexican fishing town, a little touristy, but definitely no Cabo or Cancun. I highly recommend Barra for anyone who wants to spend some time in Mexico on the cheap.
The last pic is my "office".![]()

LOL, and i had you pegged as a cool looking dude.
So sorry.
LOL...
Seriously dude, i'm a jealous mofo, you look like you're having entirely too much fun for your own good.![]()
It was a hell of a lot of fun. Here's a few shark pics from Guadelupe.Originally Posted by M21Sniper

Lol, I was using 50 lb. stand-up gear, so I wasn't going to get him in the boat, but they were funner than hell to play with. These guys were about 16-18 footers, about medium size for a great white. Awesome fish, though, incredibly powerful.
In the second pic, you can see a tag by the dorsal fin. That's a GPS tracking tag. Lol, I guess I was messing with someone's pets.
Edit to add: thought I'd add the one of him chewing on the cooler.
