From his brilliant album, City To City, here's Whatever's Written In Heart-
Another quiet, troubled soul destroyed by the ol' demon alcohol. He'll be missed as a songwriter and musician. Rest in peace, Gerry.

1971's From The Inside, Bad Weather-
Good Feelin' To Know, title track of the 1972 album by the same name-
Every bit as talented as the Eagles. Just poorly managed. Manager told them to blow off Woodstock. It was supposed to rain and nobody would be there.
Big, big mistake.

Guest appearance by Eddie Vedder singing The Waiting-
Rather nicely-done, I might add.![]()

Frank was always too edgy for this flower-child wannabe but, MAN, was he brilliant or what?
Great songwriter, guitarist/musician and bandleader. He always stood on the periphery smirking at us all. Hippies especially. No dope-smoker, Frank. His stuff was intense, complex, incredibly tight and devoid of ego-driven solos.
One seriously funny fcuker, that guy...

On a Fleetwood Mac kick at the moment; just got done reading "Making Rumours", by Ken Callait, father of Colbie Callait, their engineer/producer for the album (and Tusk); HIGHLY recomended. Makes me think I was born about 10 years too late. Try and make it to one of his book signings, if you can: Making Rumours, A Book about the making of Fleetwood Macs album Rumours
Most recent date is at the legendary Record Plant in Sausalito, right behind the US Army Corps of Engineers Bay Model; PLEASE make it, if you get the chance. The Record Plant is a legendary recording studio, built in the late '60s; many famous groups have recorded there, including Sly & The Family Stone, Fleetwod Mac (of course), and Metallica. I would KILL to go there, but I'm 100 miles away, and I can't get off work. Say hi to Ken for me!
BTW, that's Ken at the end of the video, even though they don't mention his name . . .

Here are some german songs for relaxing, dreaming,… on this weekend
MÄNNER by Herbert Grönemeyer
Men take you in their arms
Men provide security
Men cry in secret
Men need a lot of tenderness
Oh men are so vulnerable
Men simply can't be replaced in this world
Men buy women
Men are always high
Men toil like idiots
Men lie on the phone
Oh men are always ready
Men corrupt with their money and their carelessness
Men have it rough, don't take things seriously
Outside hard, inside quite soft
Programmed already from childhood to be a man
When is a man a man?
When is a man...
Men have muscles
Men are terribly strong
Men can do everything
Men have heart attacks
Oh men are lonely champions
Have to go through walls, always have to go on
Men...
DER WEG by Herbert Grönemeyer
This song he has written to tribute to his late wife who passed away…
A very sad song influenced by his loss…A song for people who lost their loved ones and suffer……
