Meddle not in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup.

Abusing Yellow is meant to be a labor of love, not something you sell to the highest bidder.

    Jefferson Airplane

I hate the obvious hits typically. White Rabbit was clearly one of the few such songs for the Airplane. Still, there were few places as "obvious" to perform such as Woodstock. However tired they must have been of performing that song live by this point it's really difficult to tell here. Slick's performance, along with the rest of the band, is first-rate. Succinct, pointed and powerful without any over-the-top embellishment. Great recording and Slick looks stunning-

Lana Del Rey's new album is divisive, and I don't like a lot of it, but have to say I'm a big fan of "Video Games". Sounds almost like it should be in Phantom of the Opera or some Andrew Lloyd Webber musical but I really like the piano, the lyrics and her voice:

Also really like The Boss' new song, both it's verve and sentiment.

Under two minutes but my heart melts when I hear it - She and Him's absolutely beautiful cover of Please Please Please Let me get what I want:

The Kingsmen, both the iconic and my favourite version by far of "Louie Louie":

Heard this the other day, a song by a bunch of musicians opposing Wal-Mart coming into their town (Athens, Georgia). Really nice.

Finally the Afghan Whigs "Lost in the Supermarket" cover - can't decide if I like it better than the original but that's probably a good sign.

Although it is not true that all conservatives are stupid people, it is true that most stupid people are conservative.
    - John Stuart Mill.
