    Bottle of Red Wine

From Clapton's first solo album, and my favorite aside from Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs, Bottle of Red Wine.

This album is essentially the studio twin to the Delaney & Bonnie On Tour W/ Eric Clapton album released at the time with many of the same players and singers. Tune rocks...

Eric Clapton at the Excel tonight in St. Paul. I was asked there and declined which all turned out for the better.

    Rocking South African Style

16 Stitch. These guys are from Johannesburg, South Africa. I ran into one of them here on vacation after spending four "tedious" (his words) months in the studio recording their new (third) album.

Clearly can't speak for the reasons you declined but Steve Winwood played with Clapton and they may have been one of the better lineups you're likely to ever have seen.
