Basically, I don’t see how the Israeli AF is better than the IAF because :-

The best pilots in the Israeli AF are undoubtedly the F-15 pilots, since only top scoring pilots get to fly the best planes i.e. F-15, hence superceding Israeli F-16 and C-2 Kfir pilots by far. But US F-15 pilots beat Israeli F-15 pilots as the best F-15s fly only with the USAF. Still better than the US F-15 pilots are the IAF Su-30 MKI pilots as Cope India DACT sorties showed.

And there you have it, simple logic

As for PAF pilots, I don’t think they’ve had much hands-on experience with sophisticated BVR long range missiles or Helmet Mounted Sights, avionics, etc., so I doubt their competitiveness.

I doubt the InAF could even do a 10th of what the USAF did in LB I & II, OAF, ODS, and OIF.

Basically, I can vouch for IAF pilots, especially the guys from TACDE - Tactics and Combat Development Training Establishment, IAF's fighter and weapons training school, or India's "Top Gun" if you like, are indeed one of the best, if not the best Mig pilots in the world.

That they are and have a tendency to push their machines well beyond their limits - not a good thing when it comes to MiGs ... or any other East Bloc equipment.

India flies cannibalised Migs, HAL doing a good job to make IAF Migs killing machines with best avionic / weapon systems upgrades from France, Israel, etc. So pushing them to their limits is what IAF Migs are mae for. Furthermore they're rugged and their electronics dont go bust, as was the case of many F-16s, A-10s and Apaches in Iraq and Afghanistan.

In war and peace, for all Air Forces so to say.

"So much owed by so many to so few".

What has that got to do with pilots pushing machines beyond their limits?

Its in the national interests of the country and its Air Force, depending on their adversary's combat enviornment / fighter tactics.

Personal sacrifice for a national cause is not measured in the loss of men, but the birth of brave new sons they set an example to. Thats what makes a nation a World Power
