    F/a-22.

    Gee, that's a tough one...

Considering that the only Su-37's that ever flew were prototypes that didn't have any weapons, I will put my money on the F-22.

Considering that the "true" stats on both aircraft are guarded like a daughter's virture, I doubt we could even make a paper comparison.

Having said that, I do see the F/A-22 in frontline service and the Su-37 is....not

And now having said THAT: For sheer looks and kick-azz paint scheme, I'll be cutting a check for an Su-47 a few days from now.

Then I'll throw myself out a 40th story window when the check bounces....

I don't need to know the "true" stats to know which one is superior. The most important piece of equipment for any pilot in any aircraft who faces a F-22 in combat is his ejection seat.

The F-22 is the most dominating all weather multirole fighter ever devised by man.

    End of story.

The commonly quoted value for frontal RCS is -37 to -33 dbsm.

Flankers and Eagles are about the same, 10-13 dbsm for each. That translates to 10-15 m2, so it's a range, and depends on version and loadout.

I don't have a complete list. This is what I have, from large to small:

    F-15: 10 to 13 dbsm
    SU-27: 10 to 13 dbsm
    Tornado: 9 dbsm
    MiG-29: 7 dbsm
    F-18: 5 dbsm
    MiG-21: 5 dbsm
    F-16: 0 to 3 dbsm
    Mirage 2000: 0 to 3 dbsm
    Gripen: -5 to 0 dbsm
    SU-47: -5 dbsm
    Rafale: -10 to -5 dbsm
    MiG 1.42: -10 dbsm
    F-18 E/F: -10 dbsm
    Typhoon: -13 to -10 dbsm
    F-35: -30 to -28 dbsm
    F/A-22: -37 to -33 dbsm

The figures for the SU-47 and MiG 1.42 should be taken with a grain of salt, due to the high percentage of alloys in the airframe. The reason they get the rating they do is mainly due to internal weapons carriage.

The numbers were compiled from various open sources, avleak, Janes, and manufacturers datasheets. YMMV.
