comparing fighter performance of the same generations; important factor in war

    It wouldn't mind seeing fighter (Me-109/Mustang; F-86/MiG-15; MiG-19/F-100; MiG-23/F-4E; MiG-29/F-16; Su-30/T-50/F-22...) performance comparison based on official graphs.

Link deleted. Adriann, please do not use our forum to hawk your book. If you want to participate in discussions, fine. But the WAB is not a free vehicle to advertise. Thank you.

This would make a bunch of giant vs threads again, while the performance charts makes it nicer and less fanboyish the amount of work required would be fairly obscene. Also with the F-4 / Mig 23 and new groupings still being in use by various countries official figures aren't fully available.

Adriann, you are an intelligent guy, and are capable of good contributions. By all means, feel free to do so. But as I mentioned, we will not tolerate thinly disguised advertisements for your book, which is exactly what your original posting was.

I had saw the performance charts for the f-4 and f-16 at different altitudes, even for not a expert like myself it was obvious that the f-16
was simply in a higher league.

any chance of seeing the mig -21 performance charts ?

In future wars, adversaries shouldn't even bother to actually fight. They can enter the performance parameters of their weapon systems into a giant computer, and similate the war based on these facts. It will cut down on needless destruction of property and human suffering. The casualties of war could be euthanized in a humane way. The results will be registered and sent for review.

Yeah, just like that STTOS episode, "A Taste Of Armageddon", where interplanetary wars are fought by a computer, and the "casualties" voluntarily submit themselves to disintegration!

This is exactly what I thought of, though I didn't know the name of the episode.

Re-mastered DVDs? I'd say you have them all stored in your internal memory aka brain

"Zero tolerance" Chogy ...I expected slightly more, anyway it is difficult to find fault to such a fair gamer...

"1979" "you" are 21 operator, you should be able to get some graphs, sustained are known and in-line to best of it's generation, but instantaneous graph (to the stall) you won't find from manufacturer or operator. A/c is designed for hi-altitude intercepts where low IAS correspondents to higher sub Mach numbers where directional stability degrades. Probably, that's why designers put AOA warning to lower AOA, that does not exploit lift potential of aircraft. Here's US corner velocity graph.

In that case, military from "our" banana countries will conquer the world with bow&arrows, since they could be unfamiliar with computers ??

You have a problem with Chogy enforcing the forum guidelines?

Re-mastered? Bah! TOS should be enjoyed in its original broadcast format, just like Shakespear should be read in original Klingon!
