anyways what i meant that we could get some fullbacks to act as a bomber force( tactical ) , while the su-30MKI and in future the pak-fa control the skies
Forget that. We should start making "our" own planes or help in the making of planes. MCA will be a bomber. A 5g bomber and you thinking of have a 4.5G. I see where you are going with this, but MCA should be our bomber. Its time to show who rules the skys in Asia.

If the govt clears it, dont forget that its still in a design stage. I for sure would be hugely disappointed if a go-ahead is not given, else all hard lessons learnt from LCA would be forgotten like it happenned with Marut.

As far as I can see, I see only Raptors ruling the skies of Asia as well as Europe as well as Africa as well as America's as well as Australia with or without MCA

    Why?

Do you have a threat perception that can see RAPTORs in combat either with you or against you?

Well the govt should or India will fall behind again. Sumku really i dont think USA will go that far and rule every sky. Right now F-22 is only for USA not any other country and it seems it will be like that forever. Plus from what i see the MCA would be started when the PAF-KA fully or half done. So we have some understanding for 5G. I think the lCA is the oil needs to get our people off their bums and get workings. The MCA will have a great out come then the LCA. I too would be sad and pissed off the govt if the go-head is not given. COUP!

Read my post again in light of India's problem with LCA, upcoming MCA and desire to rule Asia's skies

@Super Dude and OOE: You both have gotten wrong or its that I failed to make myself clear.

Whenever we are talking about rulling the skies, we need to pit the very best in the scene, irrespective of the fact that whether the host nation is a party to such trangress or not but we need to pit the very best and the fact that the Raptors are the Best at the moment is undeniable.

Irrespective of whether or not US sells Raptors or not and irrespective of a war invoving whichever countries, Raptors[if the US govt so wants] would rule the skies. At the moment there's nothing in the arsenal of India-China-Russia-EU to match Raptor. So as long this is the case, Raptors are ruling the skies MCA or not.

You both are free not to agree with me

But that's the point. RAPTORs would not be part of the scene as far as India is concerned, either for or against. Your foes don't have access to RAPTORs and the US is not in an alliance with India. So, RAPTORs should not be part of the consideration in India's desires to rule the skies.

Right. Nor we nor any of our adversaries would be getting a 5G fighter soon.
Only Australia would receive the f-35s...who is not our adversary, and not a part of Asia either.

That is an overly optimistic point of view. I had interned in a private sector factory that was on supplying the MOD with tank parts. They were hard pressed to deliver them to specs, let alone provide any improvements. This company was not Tata/ Birla but certainly was not garage shop either. The key point was not comptence, it was reluctance on the part of the management to invest time in trying to perfect the product; they were just interested in meeting the quota with the minimum level of compliance with specs.

PS: In anyone lese I would assume this was a joke but I am accustomed to your happy countenance for normal posts, so thought that this might be a serious proposition after all)
