[QUOTE=Super Dude;508835]Forget that. We should start making "our" own planes or help in the making of planes. MCA will be a bomber. A 5g bomber and you thinking of have a 4.5G.I see where you are going with this, but MCA should be our bomber.
If the govt clears it, dont forget that its still in a design stage. I for sure would be hugely disappointed if a go-ahead is not given, else all hard lessons learnt from LCA would be forgotten like it happenned with Marut.
@Super Dude and OOE: You both have gotten wrong or its that I failed to make myself clear.
Whenever we are talking about rulling the skies, we need to pit the very best in the scene, irrespective of the fact that whether the host nation is a party to such trangress or not but we need to pit the very best and the fact that the Raptors are the Best at the moment is undeniable.
Irrespective of whether or not US sells Raptors or not and irrespective of a war invoving whichever countries, Raptors[if the US govt so wants] would rule the skies. At the moment there's nothing in the arsenal of India-China-Russia-EU to match Raptor. So as long this is the case, Raptors are ruling the skies MCA or not.
You both are free not to agree with me
That is the thing about technology, back in november 2000, the brand new P-3 PC i got became quite old in 2 months. :((, it still worked quite well till 2007 though, all i needed it for was for that MS Word and internet.... )
get the private sector in india involved i bet the ambanis or the tatas or the birlas will have a 5g fighter ready in 5 yrs tops that or reliance will buy lockheed martin and get the raptor
PS: In anyone lese I would assume this was a joke but I am accustomed to your happy countenance for normal posts, so thought that this might be a serious proposition after all)
