This deal with India was also made in 2009.

Apparently we get to have a new thread every two years on the same deal, because that's approximately how long it takes India to sign a piece of paper.

So you can expect in another two years, you will get another announcement from your government about India buying 10 C-17's....

And by then they will be creating 60,000 US jobs...

    India to buy 10 C-17's

The unit cost of the AC is ~1/2 of the total contract. It's always that way.

Jesus, how many times can it be said?
Oh I am sorry that we could not accommodate your request for a timely purchase considering that the deal was in billions of dollars and it had to go through several layers of decision before the GOI could sign off. Would you like a cookie to accommodate for your troubles?
