The K's come with everything BUT the electronically-scanned AESA; supposedly, the "back end" of the AN/APG-63 is (V)3, it just lacks the actual AESA array.

Dont sound too cheap, till we know just how inclusive were the cost figures for the new F-15's, just imagine if one took the 10 year figure of 6 billion dollars as the cost of the plane.
The RAAF costs also include raise, train, sustain elements over the life of retention (10 years when these go back to the US unless we change our minds).

Defence also tends to include any additional stand up costs (eg base improvements) so that they can assess overall system support costs.

The USAF F-15Es will be getting a different AESA set than the one that the C models have started to receive. The F-15Cs have started to get the AN/APG-63v3, while a couple of years down the road, the Es will start to get the APG-82 which apparently combines the processor of the APG-79(Superhornet's AESA) with the antenna of the APG-63v3. Not really sure what the difference between the two is in terms of performance though

I do not think the Koreans are that new to purchasing fighter aircraft........

It was in competition with other planes (even if to drive the eventual cost down).

Yes the Oz MoD statement was quite clear in expressing that.

I doubt the Singapore and South Korean 100 million dollar figures for F-15E versions do not include a lot of factors (training, spares etc.).

There must be detailed figures released about the purchase by both South Korea and Singapore.

    The notice by DSCA
On 22 August 2005, the Defense Security Cooperation Agency notified Congress of a possible Foreign Military
Sale to Singapore of weapons, logistics, and training support for F-15 aircraft as well as associated equipment
and services. The total value, if all options are exercised, could be as high as $741 million

yes if they build and buy new ones there is absoloutly no reason the F-15 couldn't carry on until 2030 or longer. The F-15 still has some bite in her the newer F-15K and the F-15SG are very advanced and more than a match for any aircraft flying today.
