It’s Okay to Talk Raptor Again

Yes! The door has opened a crack; are there more Raptors in the Air Force's future? Here's an article in today's issue of airforce-magazine.com. I sure wouldn't mind seeing some more F-22's coming off the assembly line . . . .

Who knows? The Republicans took the House. If they take the White House in a couple of years it might happen. It won't happen before then, or if the Democrats keep their holdings.

If it happens, it'll probably be independent of anything political.

I think that they'd want to sort of redesign the Raptor anyways to deal with the JXX and PAK-FA, so that will be a few years down the road.

This is one of the most political acquisitions projects in history.

man i can imagine a redesigned or upgunned raptor, would be sweet, dont think we need it anytime soon, two 18 plane formations of raptors backed by fifty to a hundred f15s,18s,16s would cook somebodies goose..if needed.now that the f15"s are getting their upgraded aesa radars the f18 has a good aesa, hope they open the raptor line back up to at least 250 or so.

I'd like to see a buy of 460 Raptors or even a one on one replacement for the F-15Cs.

There's a better chance of me coming home to Sarah Michelle Gellar.
