In the light of the investigation, initiated by the Prosecutor General’s Office in Germany, and accusations of MTU Aero Engines of participation in supplying Iran with aircraft engines, used in unmanned aerial vehicles, on behalf of MTU Aero Engines Management, officially I state:
MTU Aero Engines have neither part nor lot in supplying Iran with the production of the company. MTU Aero Engines is the German engine manufacturer providing engine developments and production, only. The production distribution is under exclusive charge of intermediator company - The EuroJet Alliance AG.
According to the information, offered us by the Sales Department of The EuroJet Alliance AG, the UAV engines produced by MTU Aero Engines and now found in Iran, initially had been sold to Georgia (all documents identifying evidences of this fact are attached). All that lead to the conclusion that the engine consignment subsequently could be resold to Iran by only Georgian side.
MTU Aero Engines have never directly contacted with neither representatives of the Iranian authorities, nor companies operating within that country. Thus we state that MTU Aero Engines haven’t broken the UN requirements and haven’t supplied Iran with any military or dual-purpose goods.

p.s. on my own behalf I would like to add that the version of Georgian involvement into the illegal supplies seems to me quite reliable here. I guess you remember that in the beginning on the year Georgian authorities have already met the accusations of reselling German nuclear technologies to Iran.
