    Antonov submits KC-X bid. Everyone else looks to see if its April 1st again

    Why did they even waste their time submitting a proposal?

    US company parnters with Antonov in surprise KC-X bid

    Didn't Ilyushin or Airbus or somebody also offer a bid for a tanker proposal a while back that was shot down?

    There was supposedly a bid from Ilyushin that everyone denied. Interesting thing is that the same guy that was setting up that deal is behind this one. The more I hear, the more I think we're not going to be hearing much from Antonov on the matter.

    This is the first thing I wondered...the same lawyer is filing these papers too? What is it with this guy?

    If its real, and if it can do the job, and if it can pass security concerns.

    BTW: here it is. Basically an AN-70 variant powered by jet engines. Personally, I think they would have been better restarting the AN-218. Also, the slide could be done by anyone with office and decent photoshop skills.
