The last time a MiG-21 and an F-15 met in real combat, the F-15 got its only recorded gun kill

The MiG-21 isn't going to be a competitor against an AESA equipped F-15anyversion. That's all there is to that.

The F-15E is in all likelihood the best (B1-B?) strike aircraft in the world, (especially with LANTIRN pods).

It was interesting - how much the 57th and 64th Aggressor squadrons seemed to be impressed with MIG-21 Bison.

Aggressor F-15s also “out-turned” to catch the F-22 when less experienced Raptor crews (or MKi aircrews) used “too much” stick and go into the post stall thrust vectoring arena.

It’s all about training, so that aircrews (of any air force) learn how to extract the maximum performance from their airplanes.
