A little different than doing an exit out of the rear of CH-47 using an MC-1B, huh?

I wonder who the jumpmaster was?

However, searching Madison's filmography doesn't show that movie. It may have been another actor that looked like him and it was a very good movie explaining the reasons for those tests.

Interestingly, the Official Government Report on the Rosewell incident claims it was those test drop dummies that people thought were aliens. But those tests didn't start until about 10 years later.

Oh well, if it's from the Government it must be right.
Would love to see that! Wonder if the good Captain ever thought about NOT jumping out of the thing Why don`t we see more stunts like that nowadays? I guess the spirit of faster, higher, further has died somewhat.

Glyn, and I had hoped you were a dare devil

Thats what makes him special. I only had to jump a few times(i was a diver) and I reffered to them as "pushes' instead of "jumps" because thats what it took to get me out of the plane. He was all by himself, What guts he had! But then again that was his only way down. BTW, He also set a record for the fastest a human has ever gone without a vehicle. I'll check but I think he reached around 300mph or so.(seems like it was faster, I just remember it was an incredible speed)

I usually got out of the 47 on a speedrope or much more interesting, a helicast. Pilots often had no sense of height and the speedometer was broke. It always seemed we were much higher and faster than what SOP prescribed. (everytime.) oooh ahhh!!! Airborne!!

I thought he broke the sound barrier but didn't want to sound crazy if incorrect. So after all these feats, what the hell do you do for a thrill?

Thank you sir, I shall.

Aircraft are often the main feature of many movies.I'll start this one perhaps a bit hard(although probably not for you all). I'll be happy to give some hints if the initial is too hard to get.

What well known aircraft had the tail number N3176S?

I'm sure one (or all) of you probably have somekind of link to tail # registrations which would make this simple.

(I'm so dumb! I just googled the number, only 686 results for airwolf! I promise the next one to be more challenging. Is there nothing one can't find in cyberspace?)

Thanks Dave, I assume your reffering to me.

I am still cooking up the really hard one, so you'll have to give this one a spin in the meantime. Of course another heli, so what was the first production turbine powered helicopter and what other distinction does it hold?

Sorry about the name but I was talking to a "Spider" on another Forum
