Ah, Shamus, the good Captain seems to be enjoying the festivities I notice he said WW2 era, and not specifically WW2 itself. I suppose it might depend on when it is reckoned the unpleasantness really started

Despite your generous supply of three tips, no-one has come up with an answer captain. I suggest that you provide it and then pose another.

OK, I'm back and I hope you all you a nice Christmas and saw the new year in with appropriate festivities.

Our mystery Aviator was; Arthur Chin Shui-Tin. (Art Chin)

He was born in Portland Oregon and initially joined the Cantonese Airforce to fight the Japanese.

Sorry for making the clues a bit too obscure or perhaps trying to throw you off the scent.

Read all about him on the following links.

Chinese biplane fighter aces - 'Arthur' 'Art' Chin Shui-Tin

and

Someone else have a go please, it's 42 degrees C here and too hot to think.

Cheers.

Name the American F-16 Pilot who was awarded the DFC in Oct 07 for services in Iraq, and what was "unusual" about the ceremony?
