ukraine and georgia want to join the 'european/NATO club' because its much more attractive than having the russian president fiddle your elections every few years...

russia shouldn't get excited about an expanding EU/NATO, it should ask itself why, when given the opportunity, its near-abroad states run towards the west and away from russia.

russia needs to grow up and work out who its military enemies are, they aren't european and they aren't american but they are to the south-east, they do need natural resources and there's about a billion of them.
