    "Observation" is a good thing.

    Or This,

    The Raptor would fly around letting the bison wear out and then peck out the bison's eyes and brain till it dies of annoyance and bleeding.

    It doesn't really matter about the plane most of the time. It's the pilot, and how good they are. Handing over an F-22 Raptor to most people in the World without training will probably result in a plane that slams into the Air Control Traffic Tower on takeoff.

    That Exactly is the point. No mean machine can win a match without the prowness of the pilot behind it. In fact the joint exercise that IAF did with the USAF Cope India 04 is an excellent example....where the MIGs outplayed the F15s and 16s in 90% cases.:P
    And on the sixth day, God created the Field Artillery...

    Ahhh!!! Not again. lol. Those exercises are not worth a mention here. The media turned those into an endless pissing contest.

    To place the COPE INDIA 2004 into perspective, here is an article from AW&ST;
    USAF explains 'Cope India' Results

    Cope India 2005 was with F-16C's not F-15C's. The buzz word was cooperation. F-16's and Su-30MK's worked on both red and blue sides.

    Yes, it was turned into a media circus and helped secure funds from congress.

    The question is not about the IAF contingent making it to the Red Flag, the question is about the MKIs making it to Red Flag or not. For the MKI to go, entire logistics and support have to be build for it at Nellis and that will cost huge. Its just another way for the US to get India to sign the military logistics support agreement to bring down that cost. So either IAF pays big money and sends their MKIs; or, signs the MLSA and sends the MKIs; or, just sends other aircraft, instead of the MKI, which have already trained with the USAF in America, like the Jaguars and possibly Mirages.
