F-10 = NATO designation.

It's also not very interesting or anything to gush about. So, China can now produce a 4th (3rd in Chinese reckoning) generation fighter with capabilities comparable to those of 20-year-old planes in Western service. It's nothing cutting edge and is not interesting to the general reader.

This is interesting in the sense that it shows that China is making progress, they are still decades behind the West, but they are still making progress and this just proves it, with all the different fields of science it needed to advance in to make this knid f stuff.
