There can be only ONE! Highlander!

Got to be the one and only SR-71! Pictured here with pure research birds..

...Closely followed by the F-106, which set some single engine speed records that still stand today, although the Russians would disagree!

    Here's my choice.

    Present-Day:
    1. F-22A Raptor
    2. F-35C Lightning 2
    3. F-35A Lightning 2
    4. A-10C Thunderbolt 2
    5. B-1B Lancer

    Retired/Canceled:
    1. XB-70 Valkyrie
    2. SR-71 Blackbird
    3. F-14D Super Tomcat
    4. F-117 Nighthawk
    5. F-86F Sabre

The BONE, XB-70, Blackbird and Nighthawk are not fighters, but then, the A-10 is no fighter either.

    LOL!!!

VarSity, its kinda funny that you said that! My little brother was in Iraq for a few years and he always told me that when ever he saw the A-10 flying low, it scared the crap out of him just because he has saw what it can do!
He has told me stories of when they called in air-strikes and when the enemy sees it from a distance, "They run and hide", while their equipment and and troops get destroyed.

Mmmhh.. The only yank fighter that I found vaguely sexy was the F14. I'm sorry to my American cousins but your planes just got no soul baby!

The F-14 by far. With its swing wings, and sexy style. Its Phoenix missiles more than made something look good. Its huge speed, and ability to take of a ship, with such a powerful radar. Its also the only one that looks good.
