My guess is that they will engineer the warhead to a spec that will enhance the explosive force, perhaps a reactive titanium or aluminum casing? Here's something I posted numerous times before.

This is the Miniaturized Munitions Technology Demonstrator. It is a specialized weapon, similar to the JDAM but optimized for internal bays of stealth planes. It will be 250lb, penetrate 6 feet of concrete and detonate 50lbs of explosives. The explosives are being developed right now to provide 5 times the power of current bombs. Between 6 to 8could be carried inside the F-22’s bays. In order to penetrate well, the bomb must be traveling quite fast (1100fps) and have a good auto-pilot to retain energy. These weapons are being developed with the JSF and UCAV programs in mind.

BUFF, I talked to a ROTC officer and he said that 90% of the air slots go to... the Air Force Academy graduates.

He's in Special Vehicles Maintenance. Stationed in England. (Although he's done temporary duty elsewhere.) He loves the Air Force, and wants to stay in Europe for a few years. It will tke him that long to tour all the pubs!

The ASVAB is the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery. We bought one of the study guides that had the CD in the back, so he used the computer to study, test, and evaluate. It was worth the money. There are a limited number of slots available for GED-holders, so the career you want may not be open exactly when you want it. My son wanted Security Forces (thinking about being a civilian cop after he's out), but took the first slot open. Now he is really glad he did. He got to train in Southern California, got a great first assignment, and found out he really likes, and is good at, diesel mechanics.

I've posted on other forums how grateful I am that he is where he is. The USAF saved his life, proved to him that he could succeed at something, and completely turned his life around. I'll be buying drinks for USAF members and vets (and certain others, eh Snipe?) for the rest of my life, with pleasure!

It's getting a little long in the tooth, but I love the F-15c.

    The greatest fighter ever built...

    The SE-5

It was equipped with twin .303 machine-guns, fireing above the arc of the prop (greater rate than sychro-systems)

It could, outdive and outrun the best enemy fighters, though a camel could probably turn inside it, and the SPAD XIII was nominally a few mph faster.

It had a very reliable Hispano-Suza 220 hp water-cooled engine, good internal fuel capacity, and rough field capability

It could climb high enough to threaten the Zep's.

Had the war lasted a few more years, it would have unseated the vaunted Sopwith Camel from the title of Most Air-to-Air Victories.

    My Take

F-14B-D Why would anybody pick the 'A'? It was way underpowered!!!
    F-15C
    F-4D
F-86 (Why? Because it is responsible for the downing of more aircraft than any other jet in history....)

BTW, the F-22A isn't in active service yet so it doesn't count. If you base it on cool factor alone, it kicks tail.....
