Brazilia goes for Mi-35 (Mi-24) and Mi-17 (Mi-8) helos

The total delivery is around 30 helos with undisclosed mix of Mi-35 (good old Mi-24 derivative) combat/transporters and Mi-17 (good old Mi-8 derrivative). Brazilians are also considering acquisition of a sizable amount of Ka-52 if manufacturing is to be located in Brazilia... The contract assumes construction of the helicopter repair site at Brazilia on a separate contract. Brazillians will have rights to repair all Mill Brand Helicopters as already does Mexico and Venezuela.

The order is to be signed on Dec 15th

You mean Ka-50, right? ... the Ka-52 is a C^2 chopper, not a two-man combat chopper. Yes, it can do battle, but that isn't its purpose.

I read about the Ka-52 - the command version of the Ka-50. I guess they will anounce the agreement soon. It is expected to be signed on Dec 15th (this friday).
