No wonder why there are so many UFO sightings in Area51.

All this time I kept thinking SR-71 was an artist impression.
I don't like it either - I think it looks like a giant beetle.

I know I have been through this before, but I think that aircraft could be prettier - to appeal to a wider audience. Some are just outright ugly and others look so, well...mean!!

Imagine our planes, flying overhead...the enemy (your choice) sees a pretty pink plane with flowers, or butterflys. Maybe a yellow plane with tiger stripes, or white with spots.
He stops, looks at the aircraft.
As he is thinking to himself "What the hell?"
BAM!! Right on his head!!

I think it could work.

Gotta say the X-3 looks pretty snazy. Kinda reminds me of the Viper fighter off the Battlestar Galactic series.

Rare an aircraft blows me away from an asthetic stand point. Its a short list ybt it made it.

B-2, X-3, SR-71, Bird of Prey (the aircraft not the sci-fi space ship).

Oh you clearly have no taste - the Vulcan is full of retro-chic.... and was a real eye turner in the 1960's and 70's...

A plane that never flew but which was nearly as good looking as the YF23... (well it was based on the same design..)

And I've always loved the ME262 and the Hornet as well...
