Brahmos vrs Babur
India produced its BrahMos super sonic cruise missle which has a range of 290km and Pakistan produced a 'reversed engineered Tomahawk' with a range of 500KM. Does anyone know any good comaparison details between the two.
This means any Pako aircraft loaded with Babur can fly even to the Indian border and unload half a dozen Baburs on Delhi and turn back. What are good defenses against cruise missiles. |

and what the manufacturers of babur say is that it can be detected but they dont know in what speed brahmos will strike and i personally dont want to compare these two missiles coz brahmos is far superior. |

Hypothetically?
Modern SAM's and fighters. In certain cases active point defence systems (thinking U.S ships here). Ultimately it depends on the cruise missile, Tomahawks for example are absolutely excellent *conventional* land attack missiles but are not the most desirable for other target types. |

india has got the interceptor missile technology... that should take care of the baburs.
the irony in the naming of pak missiles is that they always name it after a person who has invaded india in the past..... invaded india... shows the sole motive of their military |

They invaded not only India but killed and raped their own ancestors and destroyed their places of worship.
Now after being forcibly converted by the invaders, they started hating themselves and their past. Their hate for India and Hindus in nothing but the menifestation of a deep sense of inferiority and a constant need to prove themselves more Muslim than the Arabs.

This thread is ridiculous. No one is going to fire a bramos against a babur or vice versa.
Its not like a tank v/s tank or a plane v/s plane where one could go against the other. So whats the point in the comparison whether one is supersonic or not. Further babur can carry a nuclear missile while brahmos cannot. Both will be used differently, different purpose different situation. if pakistan fires a nuclear babur india is not going to counter by firing a brahmos. Can the mods please close these junk threads.

Considering that even if the Interceptor technology is completely evolved, then how many Interceptor missiles are we producing in an Year. Mind you, Cruise Missiles are way different from Ballistic missiles, in a sense they are more affordable. So technically instead of having 1000 Ballistic Missiles, I would prefer to have say about 200 Ballistic Missiles and 800 Nuclear Cruise Missiles. Now if Pakistan decides to fire say even 50 together, what solid defences are there in Place. We for sure dont have 50 Interceptor missile. Also to be on a safer side, we would expect to have 2 Interceptor Missile for every single missile fired at us, that means a total of 100 Interceptor missiles to Stop 50 Cruise Missiles flying towards us. We are not Producing Interceptor missiles at this rate. Now coming on to Interceptor Technology, its far,far from being fully operational/functional. A lot of work still needs to be done on this. We can't feel safe after just 1-2 tests and be reckless. The Only defence is to Increase the Number of Cruise Missiles that we are making at the moment, make them Nuclear capable, Increase the range of Missiles, Increase the Momentum of Research on Interceptor technology and Pray that worst wont happen |
