I like the MiG-29M2. MiGs are pretty good at close-quarter dogfighters. Most of the MiGs need a better engine...

The MiG-29M2 should have corrected all of those mistakes. The SMT version has actually sustained better airframe life then the earlier modeled MiG-29s.

Good fighters, in the hand of a good pilot. Although I would pick the Viper any day 8)

An aircraft is only as good as his pilot.

Harrier isn't a fighter, but it still does a great job at what it does.....

The Brits Harrier FA.Mk2 is very good at A2A.

It's basically a multi-role combat aircraft performing A2A missions, and A2G strike.

Does the F-15 I count as foreign? If not, I think I'll have to go with the SU-27 Flanker, only cuz it's small, swift, deadly, can do some pretty mean aerobatic and maneuvering ****, and has a pretty decent weapons/aviations suite...

Actually the Russians have an upgrade kit for the Su-27 to bring it up to Su-30 standards. After all, the Su-30 IS just a modified Su-27, not an all new plane....... Still think the Indian version is better due to it's highly improved avionics over the Russian version......

Cap, thats true.....India first got Su-30 MK ( i guess plain vanilla version) and then later upgrading it to MKI standards.

But Rahul was trying to point out that its Su-30 and not MiG MK-30, coz this plane is not from Mikoyan, instead its from Sukhoi design bureau.

Are the Russians going to make their Su-27s to Su-30MKK standard like China but under a different designation?
