Either way - the woman doesn't have a leg to stand on. The rape kit is gone - prove it without one - not going to happen. She can't unless someone in the male group turns and I don't see that happening. Unfortunate set of circumstances, one woman cannot fight against a group of men. Anymore than 2 is very difficult even with the proper training and I don't see anywhere in the story where it mentions exactly how many men there were - it just states multiple.

Most women will not commit to group sex. It is too hard to have power and control over the situation. Group/peer mentality takes over on the male side and problems occur. Situations like this are called "training" by the way. A group men, one after the other - a train. Now, whether she agreed to this or not, there does appear that the agreement is there was a sexual encounter. Whether she went into this with eyes wide open or shut, it is hard to say. If she agreed - pretty blasted stupid. If she did not agree, then rape did occur. The only real evidence that could help her that we know of is the rape kit which as stated is gone. However........I am thinking that perhaps more evidence is out there - in the form of pictures on a cell phone. Doubt if they will ever come to light.

The only group sex I am agreeing to is the one in which I am the only male,

The whole disapperance of Rape kit itself kind of tells me that she is telling the truth, and this is not a group sex gone bad.

Sadly, the last 10 years or so have made me very cautious about crediting alleged rape victims until the trial verdict.

This story was a feature on a news program last night - 20/20 or something I don't know. The story she told had changed once again from the reports I read and she says that she didn't realize that she had been raped until she looked at the bruising on her thighs whilst she was on the toilet. WTF???? You know what, I am having trouble believing this accusation of rape on her end. Maybe she has a stainless steel bottom but most women after activity with a man will know there was penetration especially with rape as that tends to be a quite violent action without having to look for bruising between the thighs.

Drugged yes, beforehand she says - before the men. This is the aftermath. She was awake, on the toilet she says and she states that the clue rape occured was that she had bruising on the inside of her thighs. She did not state how massive the bruising was.

Those who have never raped a woman before will normally look at their victim, those who have raped before normally will not and will penetrate from behind. Not always of course - in general. Rape is about power and control, the woman being drugged means that she can say nothing or do nothing - the ultimate in power and control for a man and it makes the frontal position is easier without her facial features and sobbing getting in the way. That explains some of the bruising.

Being on the toilet would have destoyed some evidence. I do understand that when a person has to go they have to go and most women don't understand that some evidence can be lost by the simple action of flowing urine.

Now - I've always been of the thought that most women are able to determine by the way certain body parts feel in the aftermath if a man has penetrated them or not. After being drugged to oblivion, drunk out of their minds or otherwise. They do not have to look at their thighs. My attempt at levity with the stainless stel bottom was in poor taste, but I am having problems following this story for the most part as there are pieces missing and I can only go by what has been presented. For the most part a changing story and her own words are not bearing well for this woman.

Rape is rape, just what do some people find so hard to understand? The fact that she claims that she was gang raped and not just by one man sort of confirms that she wasn't just jilted by one particular person, and the ad hoc arrest after the alleged rape acts as a further confirmation of the act.

If there was a rape then it should be dealt with in court. There shouldn't be any room for an out of court settlement, as this is adding further insult to injury for the victim, and if controlled drugs like. GBH or any other substance was used to commission the crime, then the person who made that substance available is also as guilty as the rapers if he was involved in the rape or not.

Having served in foreign country's for longer periods of time I'm aware of the pressure's involved, but to commit such a heinous crime as rape on a co-worker or any other member of the human race is more about loosing control than exercising it, and has to be punished.

I hope that all involved in the cover up action will also be outed and brought to justice.

Going public with her case may or may not have been a mistake, in any case it's one way for an ex-employee to let the world know of what exactly happened, without fear of her being branded a nut, as has happened in the past.

I agree, not from any experience but from the simple logic that hundreds of millions of men and women have managed to cope with the horror of war and, lo and behold, have restrained themselves from raping, torturing or murdering anybody. I don't buy the 'stress made me do it' excuse, it is only a factor.

- Runs a taut household
