Only in the sense that they're considered better than the rest of the Iranian army.

    1st, it's the 4th Infantry Division.

The only way the Iranians are going to see the Americans would be after they've got steamrolled by the Americans.

You've really got alot to learn about modern warfare.

"Only in the sense that they're considered better than the rest of the Iranian amy."

Actually if you read about the Iran Iraq war it was the other way around. The regular Iranian armed forces did a much better job in terms of planning, manuever and such. The people who consider them "better" are the ruling mullahs for various reasons.

A good article on the Iran "crisis"....

All in all i think air strikes on Iran would be wasteful because most of Iran's nuclear facilities are unknown underground.

To successfully remove them they would have to do an iraq ( invade and topple the government) but the troop numbers are lacking for the USA.

Do you think Israel could successfully invade and topple the Iranian Mullahs?

In short, no. I don't believe Israel has enough troops. Even if they did, how would they get there?

    Maybe through Iraq.

Im quite sure the USA would give Israel permission to use the airspace of Iraq.

We're talking about invasion I believe. Air strikes are one thing. Invasion is another. You can't fly that many troops directly into Iran. They'd also have no or almost no armor. What you're talking about isn't possible.

WRONG! We know where most of them are. It ain't that hard to locate nuclear facilities and they're not all underground. That's way too expensive, even for the Americans.

So why havn't we taken them? Does the US Government honestly believe Iran would retaliate against Iraq or Israel and risk an even greater US air attack?

The mere possesion of nuclear facilities is no legal nor moral justification for war.

Yet the US can make it a justification, through propoganda and extensive media coverage we all know they can do it. And they can also fire up Israels Belly!

Currently, nothing Iran has done or is doing is considered an Act of War by either the US Congress or the Bush Administration.

Wow and all this time I thought funding, aiding, and carrying out murder of American citizens was an act of war. How silly of me!
