Hello Tomas! Welcome to the WAB and Wabbitville. Take some time to read the Completely Unofficial Guide to WAB and look around the various sections. Many folks here from around the world and a lot of interesting topics. Beware the Colonel and "she whom shall not be named".

Welcome Durian10, glad to have you with us.

The Colonel is one of our global moderators, a Colonel from Canada, and goes by Officer of Engineers on the WAB

If your plan is for one hundred years, educate children."

    Welcome, mate!

Enthusiasm is good, but take it from someone who joined 7 years ago when I was only 16: figure that about 90% of the time, you're going to be wrong arguing with people here, except for very few cases that directly affect you or you have knowledge about. If someone asks about the Filipino education system, you may know what you're talking about...

The important thing is knowing when to shut up and when to fight, and more importantly being able to depart from your strongly-held beliefs and admit you were wrong. I had a very long argument with the Colonel claiming Israel could withstand a hypothetical US invasion of it's shores. Of course it can't...

Like S-2 said, read the http://www.worldaffairsboard.com/mem...val-guide.html, otherwise known as the Book of Zraver. It will give you valuable insight into how we run things here, and how we expect thing to run here.

If you're anything like I was when I first joined here when WAB opened up, you'll find this place an awesome place to hang out, chill and learn.

"i wanted to get feedback from people"

    Oh....you'll get feedback.

There are some learned folks here in a variety of geo-political subjects. Assure, first, that your document is well-written, concise, and clear. Secondly, feel free to offer it as a private message to some before posting. If the Korean peninsula, both the colonel and Xinhui are true subject matter experts. There are others here very capable on that general subject too.

If you need help with a paper, just post a thread saying "I need help with a school paper." Then list the topic. You will get all the data you need for your school paper. Trust me. If it is just a debate you want, be damn SURE you state facts.

Other than that, welcome to WAB.

"Mabuhay!!!" - what does it mean?! Looks almost like "Zabuhay!!!" (Забухай!!!), i.e. "let's drink a lot of vodka!!!" in Russian )

Mabuhay - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Mabuhay (pronunciation: mah-BOO-high) is a Tagalog word used to exclaim "long live". Comparable to the Romance language expression “Vive, Viva”, the salute associated with this exclamation; in which both arms are raised above the head in unison three times, is similar to that used in the Banzai. The expression is most often used at toasts (cheers!) during gatherings and parties, at rallies, political conferences, or for praising notable individuals. It is also an expression used in welcoming guests and a way of showing hospitality.

The root word buhay means life.
