    Welcome, mate!

    Welcome Doc,
Glad to see anther Biker joining the Board. Looking at the # of bikers in the forum we might be able to organize our own W.I.B.B.B (Wabbit Iron Butt Biker Bandits).

Good to see you made it here, doc.

Your propensity for banning elsewhere won't likely follow here. Safe haven to exercise your considerable wit where it'll likely be always tolerated if not completely appreciated.

    Thanks for the welcome guys!

Yeah Dave / Aryajet, a cross-continental bikers club offshoot sounds like a great idea. Maybe we could even use the opportunity to network, make friends, and possibly one day visit each other for a ride!

What do you guys ride? I own 2 Royal Enfield Bullet 500s .... probably one of the finest legacies left to us by the British!

S-2, as always, thanks for the kind words. And yes, as you may have noticed elsewhere, I have been banned again.

Well this time was the proverbial straw that broke the camel's back.

As I was telling some Pakistani friends on another Pakistani owned and controlled group that I still belong to, as a self-imposed policy decision, on principle I would no longer like to be a member of any forum or website that has a unilateral Pakistani controlling interest.

Does that mean a bunch of freshly post-pubescent Pakistani upstarts, big men/woman on the internet, but yet to do something meaningful in life, are going to hound me out of a fair fight and on to an Indian owned / Indian controlled forum?

    No.

There is really no fun, and no challenge, in hitting someone when he cannot hit back. Both fists flailing, feet and knees and elbows and teeth too. I am pretty old school in a lot of ways.

So the only option that leaves me with is a neutral forum which provides me with an equal opportunity platform to engage Pakistanis on.

Either that, or the Utopian ideal of a forum which is co-owned right down the middle by Indians and Pakistanis, controlled and moderated and administered by both, with mature guys and girls from both sides at the helm of things, with suitable checks and balances and controls to prevent bias creeping in.

Anything less than that is not acceptable to me anymore and hence I am here. Cause after a year of crossing swords with Pakistanis on the internet, if there is one thing I have learned it is that when it comes to India and Pakistan, there is nothing called a neutral and level playing field, the self-serving pomposity of unbiased nation and religion-neutral "internationality" notwithstanding.

Sorry for the rant, but I just had to vent to an old similarly-suffering friend.

    Cheers, Doc

vsdoc, should you have cause to meet an interesting Pakistani friend of mine here-IHM, be kind. He is a good and gentle soul, trapped in a difficult situation and VERY important to my studies. A study made of his few posts here will likely prove revealing.

You've found a good place though not nearly as rambunctious as elsewhere.

I have a Honda CBR600 and a CBR400RR. I have been trying for some time to acquire a Suzuki 750 but the wife has different ideas.

he he - so you are a crotch rocket racer! (just kidding - we have this Bullets vs "Plastic" rivalry going on big time in India all the time .... gets worse than India-Pakistan exchanges at times too LOL).

Unless thats an old foto in your avatar, my son is older than yours and pretty bike crazy like me ..... so plan to get him started on a small-ish Yamaha 2-stroke soon.

    Cheers, Doc

Thanks Parihaka (my word, S-2 you seem to have a fan following wherever you go!).

I ride a 2002 Standard Bullet 500 with the Brit vintage cast iron motor and CB points on which I have done quite a lot of work (gas flowed head, nitrided valves, 3-angled seats, stiffer springs, twin spark, some timing mods, beefed up clutch, higher compression, a UNI filter and a flat slide Mikuni carb, and a racing megaphone .... no hot cams ..... yet). This one is my all-purpose (drags, track, dirt, hill climbs) hooligan bike.

The other one is the newer (2007) all-aluminium austrian AVL tech Lean Burn motored Machismo 500 on which I just have a bigger venturi CV carb with a UNI filter and a reverse cone shorty megaphone. This one I tour on.

    Cheers, Doc

Doc, I have 3 Bikes, a 1968 Beemer R60 air-head, a 1992 Honda P.C 1100 and my primary ride is a "massive" Suzuki VL1500LC it is puonched out to 1600 with trick Cam and Dyna300 ignition sys., and dipped in chrome bath all the way. Her is pic. of the Zuke and the Hubby.

BTW: Doc, I was checking my bikes side tool box the other day and I found a full size Royal Enfeild sitting in there.
