Hello to all.

Hi everyone. I joined shortly after the BFC Political Forum died, but haven't posted until today. I hope there's room for a very liberal POV on this board, because that's the only one I have.

That's okay. There were plenty of people at the BFC General Forum who seemed to disagree with me, too. Was it my fault that they were all wrong?

This forum seems very, very, right wing. I noticed this looking through previous posting patterns and recognized that two to three dozen long time posters have the power to rally many to their viewpoint simply by criticizing opposing viewpoints. This happens frequently in political forums, which become hostile towards those who tip a different way on the political scale. I am currently doing a long term project (eight years and running) about liberal and conservative ethical and moral issues. This seems to be happening (obviously, on a smaller scale), in this forum, where a strong backing and two or three good leaders is all it takes to degrade and insult other, opposing positions. (Run on there). Because of this, the forum has become drastically conservative, which is obvious, just by reading through the posts. My humble input,

Regards, John Higgins

It is true that it is a very right right right right right wing forum

But unlike other fora, even if they disagree, the posters don't resort to impolite terms like 'idiot', 'moron' or indulge in personal attacks.

In fact, the famous quote here is "Attack the message and not the Messenger". Honest.

And being a foreigner, I have no axe to grind.

Ann Coulter.com is a very, very, very right wing forum.

We have plenty of leftists here who are given full opportunity to advance their socialist lie. It's not my fault their message is as transparent as a sheet of glass.

I've found that leftists tend to run themselves off, rather than being run off.
