Hello all.

I guess this is the place to do the introductions.

I'm an Engineer by trade with no professional background in anything remotely political/militaristic. However, recent years has seen my interest in strategy, particularly military strategy, develop to an almost consuming passion. I now try desperately to divide my time between my family, chess, the study of strategy and flight simulators.

I thinks it's a losing battle.

Anyway, just wanted to extend a greeting.

Thanks dude. And yeah, I understand what you mean. I couldn't believe it when I saw the International Strategic Affairs forum...I almost jumped for joy! I didn't realise there were so many people who had similar interests.

I think I have a lot of catching up to do...
