Welcome to WAB, Cornishchunky. Your nationality gets you top marks in my book, and the fact we served in the same Regiment does you no disfavours. Please fill in your public profile (click on your screen name and you will find it) and then give us a fuller (chunkier?) introduction. One of our eagle eyed moderators will make you a 'Military professional' I'm sure. I look forward to reading your posts.

Do you know that the name 'Cornish Hen' is confined to the North American continent? I had never encountered it before I saw it printed on a microwave cooker in Canada. I think it what we would term 'Bantams'.

Oh, and I'd just add, don't be surprised if your opinions and statements are challenged 'robustly'. With the large number of current and former armed forces personnel on this board, discussion can and does become rather heated at times.
While I'm at it may I draw your attention to our Military Professional Program? . My apologies for the spelling, it was set up by an American.

Yes, 1RTR have their own Site and it consists of EX 1RTR members. We keep in touch , and have a Reunion every year in Scarbourough. We see the destruction of the Forces every day and it does not make for good reading

Could be. Glyn's raised the possibility that he might come over for the next Wanaka air show and if so would like an introduction to some of Wellingtons more disreputable night clubs on the way through, so could be a good night out..
