Post You folks seemt o be a lot more friendly

Hello, I belong to another aviation forum and while knowledgeable, they seem to feed on each other and are incredibly nasty. I'm so happy I don't see that here. I live in just South of Dayton Ohio and worship routinely at the AF museum there. If anyone here has not visited the AF museum, I urge you to do so. It puts all other museums aviation museums to shame. Also, I would be happy to meet anyone wishing to see it and show them around...my wife and kids are tired of talking engineering and aviation so I need another ear to bend.
I also have friends at GE's jet engine division in Evendale, Ohio, which is just a few miles from my home.
I'm a great fan of GE's F110 and have a somewhat bizarre dream of putting a pair of those in a Sukhoi SU-27/30

Thanks again,

AbitNutz

Welcome to WAB AbitNutz We can have feeding frenzies too, but our ruthless moderators usually put a stop to that fairly (unfairly?) quickly.
Your museum is good. Larger than most and generously funded certainly, but puts all others to shame? I think not. Perhaps you haven't travelled very widely as yet? I understand that less than 8% of Americans have a passport. That's an even smaller %age than those believing they have been abducted by, and experimented on by Aliens. They may be right. Look at the avatar of Shameless Shamus. Clearly a failed experiment

Hey,I resemble that remark! I do so have a passport! I was even coming to see you for a visit glyn but Cornwall Customs and Immigration informed me that they don't allow unaccompanied children under 50 into the country.

No, he's right: the Air Force Museum is the finest aviation museum anywhere outside the Smithsonian.

And the 8% figure is WAY out-of-date. Don't know the actual number, but it's several times that.

Wrong again, Shameless Shamus. After a 'phone call to 'someone in a high place' he realised the threat to our civilisation as we know it and the rules are now amended with immediate effect to read:
"Nobody with the forename of Don to be admitted into the delightful Duchy under the age of 80 unless accompanied by both sets of grandparents"

Keith, you are arguing with yourself! According to the opening gambit the USAF Museum made all others pale into insignificance, but you come up with another candidate for that title. So what's it going to be? Dayton or Smithsonian?
In fact there are a number of candidates that are (gasp at the mans effrontery) NOT in those there United States! Some (splutter, cough) are even in Europe (Yurrup for some Americans). There may even be other worthy candidates OUTSIDE Yurrup, too.

And the 8% figure is WAY out-of-date. Don't know the actual number, but it's several times that.
You may be right, but it's the only figure I've seen quoted. ( Don't ask me where, or when! ). What %age of your fellow countrymen now claim Alien abduction? We need to know!
