Leopard 2 question
Just a quick question: Can anyone tell me what the unit cost of a Leopard 2 tank is? And while we're on this subject, how about the per unit cost its main competitors; the M1 abrams, Chall. 2, Merkava, T-90, Leclerc, etc? Thanks.

Depends on the version and customer.
Spain paid about €8.1 million for their Leo 2E per tank (US$12 million). That's pretty much the upper end, for new production.
Canada's 80 Leo 2A4 + 20 leased 2A6 were worth $6.5 million per tank, roughly. Upper end for used tanks.

Like kato said, the price can vary greatly depending on what type of Leopard 2. I'm pretty sure a Leopard 2 A4 costs a lot less than a Leopard 2 A6EX.

I always wanted my own tank too, just a small one for off roading would do. I'm not picky.....
