Hopefully I'll be able to judge people on their merits rather than their capbadge, although the Royal Irish are in 16 AA Bde, and I know the Paras are legendary for their disdain of all outsiders, so maybe I'll get into the slagging match to spite them.
What made you choose the Royal Irish mate? I worked with them overseas a few years ago, they love the booze and a good scrap

I'm after the K5/6 not too expensive as I like to spend a bit on mods, plus the seat height suits as I'm a bit vertically challenged Yes I can get the knee down but not so much these days, not with the state of UK roads, they seem to get worse every year so it can be a bit dangerous if you hit a pothole leant overouch!!

Being Australian I have no local regiment, but I do have some (rather distant) Irish ancestry, plus they have a good role, so it seemed like a hot ticket. Sounds like I'll fit in.

Yeah tell me about it, my pal flipped his R1 on a bend after hitting a pot hole, then when he fixed it he trashed it on a diesil spill. The k5/6 is a lovely machine but i have arthritis in my spine so after 30 miles i had to get off and collapse in agony, thats why i got the max as it as the speed plus the comfort. The max as a Vboost system thats hits in at 6000 revs which makes it like riding a rocket, 0- 100mph in 5.5 secs not bad for a unfaired monster

Just imagine what it would do if you tricked it. I had a 400RR race tuned Honda and I used to pass the "big boys" If we stopped at the lights I could see them check what it was I don't think they believed it was a 400 It was a little like the VMax, as when it hit about 6000 if felt as if an extra engine had started up...fantastic. When I sold it through a garage a friend runs, it was sold within an hour. I even got an extra £50 so I wouldn't change me mind

Cheers mate, set to start the CIC on the 18th of May, I'll do my best to keep everyone on WAB posted as to my progress, I'm sure some members will be interested to hear about British Army training in this day and age as well.
